This website... https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/dcx.sap.com?proto=https returns this... Dcx.sap.com Status Is dcx.sap.com down right now? It's not just you! dcx.sap.com is down. Why does this matter? Because Chrome (seems to) automatically change old-school links using http://dcx.sap.com to https://dcx.sap.com, and they are all timing out. It's 2021, https should work :) Update: How To Stop Chrome Browser From Redirecting SAP.COM from HTTP to HTTPS Go to this page in the Chrome browser: chrome://net-internals/#hsts Scroll down to Delete domain security policies Domain: sap.com Click Delete |
I have had discussions with the people responsible for the DCX environment. We are working to add HTTPS support but the timing is not yet determined (but hopefully a reasonable timeframe). I will monitor and as soon as I am aware that HTTPS has been enabled, I will update this thread. |
Is Web Up or Down helps you to check whether a website is currently running or not. It is great tool, which will help you find out the response header code within seconds. https://iswebupordown.com/ |
Or... everyone could stop posting links to dcx, and link to the SAP Help Portal instead :)
...or use Firefox :)
Technically, I don't think it's broken, AFAIK it has not supported HTTPS before - but yes, that's not any better.
> ...or use Firefox :)
Ha, ha... I just gave up Firefox in favor of Edge, and now you want me to go back to supporting three browsers ? :)
> I don't think it's broken
My Inner Developer agrees, security sucks, we shouldn't have to spend so much time building moats and drawbridges, but until that perfect day arrives...
...it is absolutely absurd that any sap.com website doesn't support https.
Yes, fully agreed.
So http://sqlasupport.sap.com/readme/index.html should be adapted, as well.
See the "Update" to the question above... HSTS is proof the tech oligarchs are going crazy :)
