When I right mouse - Copy link address on the "link" link below the answer to this particular question, I get a link that goes to the question itself, not the answer. This is what gets generated by the "link" link... http://sqlanywhere-forum.sap.com/questions/6508/can-select-count-be-relied-upon-to-be-slow/6509 This is what it should generate (at least, this is what works)... http://sqlanywhere-forum.sap.com/questions/6508/can-select-count-be-relied-upon-to-be-slow#6509 |
I have learnt to use the following syntax when linking to answers (both in SQLA and here): "Link of the question#number of answer". But how do you get the answer number?
I usually omit the question title in the link, so I would use the following in your sample: 1
Workarounds are nice... but in this case I'm holding out for "fix" :)

Well, to be honest, I had totally ignored the "link" button so far - therefore I had not thought of my tip as a workaround... FWIW, in SQLA, the link button always adds the "#AnswerNumber" anchor link, and links work for accepted answers, too. That anchor link seems to be missing here.

It normally works ok for me, except if the answer has been accepted (like your example), although that might just be coincidence ?
Ah, that might be the point. I also tried several answer links, and most worked but not all - and that seem to be the accepted ones. So I would agree on your observation.
