I just noticed that I'm able to edit my comments initially. According to Daz, that's not a new feature in this forum - just one I have overseen (and was not used to have in those ol' SQLA times:)).

But after a while the edit button (at the right bottom of the comment) seems to vanish - possibly after several minutes.

That seems a senseful way to

  1. both allow edits - to fix typos and correct formatting issues
  2. and prevent later modifications - as nested comments may rely on the original contents.

Question: What's the exact timing of this "auto-finalize-my-comment" feature?

Just tried it and added a comment. I was able to edit it some seconds later. And once again 2 minutes later.

You have one hour before the comment is not editable.
