Hi all,

i'm having problems with the MobiLink agent. When i try to start it i get an error 'Connection to the agent db could not be established' When i try to reset the agent db with "mlagent -cr ..." i get an error 'Agent db could not be deleted'

The documentation of mlagent is very poor unfortunately and i don't even find the file of the agent db.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks,

Axel

The file name for that database will begin with "mlagent.*" if you want to try forcing a delete on that. {if it is .db do make sure that you remove any mlagent.log as well}

You could still run into a problem if the file is in use by a running agent or if you do not have sufficient permission.

The first errors to be a more simple connection error but there is not enough to tell how that could occur unless your credentials are failing.

Thanks, Nick.

The documentation says the name of the database is 'taskdb':

"-n name Specify the name of the agent database. The default is taskdb."

It really was up to missing permission for the mlagent.udb-file. The file is located in "%programdata%\SQL Anywhere 16\MobiLink Agent" - Good to know!

Best regards,

Axel
