Hi,
We are currently using synchronization between ase 15 vs asa 11.
Since the ASA 11 will be end of life soon. We need to know if ase 15 will work with asa 16 ???
thanks,
I see. - Hm, I'm sure for the previous versions, we have been informed via mails from Sybase Support, just on the according announcement day - is this SAPified handled differently for v11 and above?
Whenever the term EOL is used, or the phrase "end of Engineering support", the following should also be stated: "Just because an older version or different platform isn't "fully supported" any more doesn't mean you can't download files (or ask questions, or get help), it just means there won't be any more new Updates released."
...that should be said EVERY time, 100% of the time, not just occasionally, or as an afterthought, because EVERY time the term EOL is used, at least ONE customer gets the wrong idea or receives the wrong message. And that is one to many.
How do you now that - has there been an according EOL announcement? (If so, I've missed it...)
Yes, the SQL Anywhere 11 EOL has been announced:

Engineering support is currently planned to cease on May 31, 2014.

Update: Just at the moment I've received an according mail with subject "SQL Anywhere Version 11 EOL" - thanks, guys.
And sorry for my complaints - I'd better have a little patience these days:)
