I've seen others edit/add tags but for the life of me my searches have come up blank. How do you do this?

Once you have 500 rep, a "retag" link will show up under the tags that will let you change the tags. Once you have 1000 rep, you can edit the question.

Thanks. At least I'm able to edit the title of my post to change "Ho" to "How" :-)

Can your response be added to the FAQ, or is that just a drop in the bucket of rules governing how editing works?

There is a question in the FAQ: "How much reputation do I need to do things?". You can always edit your own questions / answers, regardless of your rep.

Sure enough, my activity on this very question has bumped me past the 500 mark, and now I see the editable tags. LOL. Thanks.
