Is Pivot/unpivot supported in SQL Anywhere 17 Developer Edition? A recent post suggests that is NOT available: SQL PIVOT and UNPIVOT are not available in SAP IQ and SAP SQLAnywhere. If it is NOT available in this release can some-one point me to a release where Pivot IS supported. Perhaps this is a question for Glenn Pauley.

Is Pivot/unpivot supported in SQL Anywhere 17 Developer Edition?

Yes, PIVOT and UNPIVOT are available in the Developers Edition of SQL Anywhere 17. There are no technical feature differences between the Developers Edition and any other edition, and in fact the license permits more features than some other editions (e.g., High Availability is in Developers but not Workgroup).

See Tutorial: Pivoting Table Data in the SQL Anywhere 17 Help.

A recent post suggests that is NOT available: SQL PIVOT and UNPIVOT are not available in SAP IQ and SAP SQLAnywhere.

Where did you read that?

PIVOT and UNPIVOT have been available In SQL Anywhere 17 since its release in 2015.

The PIVOT clause is currently available in SAP IQ.

Perhaps this is a question for Glenn Pauley.

Alas, Glenn Paulley no longer participates in this forum. He is greatly missed.
