We purchased Sybase Anywhere 16 in 2016 including 1 year annual support, and afterwards we didn't renew the annual support because we don't need it as we rarely used it and has never encountered any problem with the database. Now we have new projects and decided to purchase new licenses for Sybase Anywhere 17, but our Purchase Orders have been suspended for over a month now. It is ridiculous that SAP in Indonesia is asking us to pay for the 4-5 years annual support fee of the old SA-16 (which product had been end of life now) before they can proceed with our new PO. This has never happened to us before with any other softwares purchased, not even from earlier version SA before SAP has taken over. Is that the only way out for us to continue as Sybase client? Note that the new SA-17 requirement is meant for other project, different from SA-16 we purchased years back. Please help as this problem has stopped our project from moving into production line. Thanks.

Regards, Johannes

Hi Johannes,

I want to upgrade from SQL anywhere 11.5 to 17,

Already talk to the agent of SAP in Indonesia, they said they do not sell the database.

May I know what company that sell the database in Indonesia?

For your kind attention and cooperation, I thank you very much.

This website worked for me; it wasn't easy, but it eventually worked: https://www.sapstore.com

Hello Johannes - sorry to hear about the issues you're encountering. Did you try the online SAP Store? SQL Anywhere is available there for purchase - https://www.sapstore.com
Hope that helps. Regards Mike Paola, Product Management
