Please be aware that the content in SAP SQL Anywhere Forum will be migrated to the SAP Community in June and this forum will be retired.

It would be nice to be able to drag .sql or .txt files into the active ISQL window and have it open the file.

It would also be helpful to then be able to specify in the options whether this action would replace any text already typed in the window or append to any text already typed in the window.

I would extend this suggestion with

  • If you move the File in the SQL Statements Area the cursor should follow the mouse and the text should be inserted at the cursor
  • If the mouse is moved over the caption bar of the SQL-Statement Area the text should be replaced with the file content. Would great if Undo is possible after this.
