Inherited an old ASA10 DB that I need to change a password on. ALTER USER doesn't seem to work. Was there some strange way that one did this?! Also, is there a copy of the manual available online?

The "Document Comment Exchange" page has the full doc set of SQL Anywhere starting with 10.0.1. Note, the page will be closed soon but the SAP Help Portal does also offer the 10.0.1 help.

To change a password, use GRANT CONNECT with the new password. For example:

GRANT CONNECT TO user1
IDENTIFIED BY new_password;
