Hi.

Testing SA17 now, and there are files missing in the SQL Anywhere 17 Client, downloaded from here: https://archive.sap.com/documents/docs/DOC-35857

We get an error on dbrsa17.dll and sapcrypto.dll, even though we don't use any encryption.

Is there any chance for an updated Client pack? It's very cumbersome for us to manually install these two DLL's for over 400 customers...

Hm, we do not use those (often "old") Client installs at all but simply use the Deployment Wizard to build our own client setups from the regular setup, so we can decide for oruselves which build to use...

SQL Anywhere 17.0 Build 2000 and newer has increased security of exchanging passwords between clients and database servers. Both the client and server need be at least Build 2000. As a result, the dbra17.dll and its supporting encryption libraries are required by the client. These are included in the Client Install for Windows. What platform are you running? Did you install a new client or attempt to update an existing install?

As an aside, the SQL Anywhere 17 Client has been updated to recent available PL as well as the Developer Edition for all platforms except MAC which is pending.

Ah, that's good to know...
