Update: Volker's answer is now enshrined as Characteristic Error Number 54 on this page.

I made the mistake of launching the [cough] accursed V17 ISQL GUI, and couldn't remember how to find the MESSAGE TO CLIENT output.

Just in case I make that mistake again (run V17 ISQL instead of V16), please help :)

Now, imagine a meme...

Sigh: I thought it would take a lot longer to get old and forgetful :)

I guess MESSAGE TO SERVER is a good alternative, especially after Foxhound 5 comes out (it will capture and display server messages).

Haha, treat it as a characteristic error...

Of course we discussed that issue here, unfortunately not with a satisfying solution...

"Message to client > history tab" looks not like a use case for human beings, reminds me of a meme I came across lately...

Oh, oh, yes, and we could name it after whoever made the decision to effectively disable MESSAGE TO CLIENT...

...no, that would surely be too cruel :)
