I am beginning to suspect that the folder specified in dbsrv12 -ad is not relative to the current folder when dbsrv12 is started from (like everything else is), but relative to the folder containing the *.db file that is being recovered (which may be somewhere else). The Help only shows absolute paths, thus avoiding the issue.


Testing seems to confirm the answer is "yes"... for dbsrv12 -ad but not dbsrv12 -a.

Yes, -ad is relative to the directory containing the database file. I have added a DCX comment in the 12.0.1 docs to try to clarify this.
