I see that the npm package node-sqlanywhere hasn't been updated in a couple of years, and still only supports up to node.js version 10. Is this still a supported package? Are there plans to upgrade it to the latest version of node.js? Thanks, |

Hi Terry, Yes, I can confirm the node-sqlanywhere driver is still supported. Adding support for node 12 is on our backlog but we do not have a specific date for when that will be completed. Kind regards, Ian |

FWIW latest release of Node.js 12.x itself is dated 06-Apr-2021 17:24 (see https://nodejs.org/dist/latest-v12.x/). Soooo... three cheers for Dan Cummins! (he even has his own meme!)

You are realating to this place, right? - I'm just asking as the last release seems to be from 2018-10, which is not really "a couple of years" old - but apparently not up-to-date, either:) - And I don't know the answer.
Ok, 21 months give or take a couple of days :-) I'm starting a new project and just want know I'm not committing to using an unmaintained package.
The political turmoil seems disconcerting, but maybe that's just me :)
But that was 2017..., so really a couple of years ago... :)
AFAIK @Graeme was the primary maintainer of the node.js driver and is not more working on SQL Anywhere but still administrating this forum. Maybe he can report on the driver's current maintenance? (Well, there were times when product marketing was not a customer's task, sigh.)
