I remember using a (current) download from Support Packages and Patches (from SAP web site) to install a new database contains everything when installing it on a new computer (a Mac mini in my case). Is this assumption correct or do I have to install first a package from the Installations & Upgrades area?

Thanks and regards, Robert

A patch install can be used for either updating an existing install or to complete an initial install. You will need a registration (license) key to do an initial install. If one is not used/available, a Developer Edition image would be installed.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I did it that way and it worked as described! Very nice.
