Hi

I wanted on a Mac with macOS High Sierra (10.13.2) to update my SQL Anywhere version 17.0.4.2129 installation to version 17.0.8.4003 with the SQLANYW170000P_22-71001547.tar EBF. Unfortunately, on starting the «Install SQL Anywhere.app» I get a window with title Error and text Internal error. Setup will exit. So it is impossible to update the database.

The installer starts as expected on OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan).

I assume I have to wait for the next version. Any idea in what time frame it will be released?

Regards,

We have not been able to reproduce this issue with the installer. If you have a support plan, we encourage you to open a support case so that technical support can work with you to narrow down this issue.

Thanks for your testing. It's strange that there are differences. Could the Java version make a difference? I am using Java version 1.8.0_151-b12. I have the jdk1.8.0_151.jdk installed. As I use the Developer Edition on macOS, I have no support plan associated with it.

After Safe Boot (cleaning caches) I could start the installer.
