Obligatory answer to get my undeserved but promised rep Also note that 9.0.2 has now reached its end of engineering support, which means that no further bug fixes will be made. We did make a point of getting Windows 7 support into 9.0.2 before that happened. |
That is good news! In the newsgroups I saw lots of requests for full Windows 7 support by ASA9. But for me Server 2008 R2 support is the important thing. Some of our long time customers upgrade to new servers with 2008 R2, while not all are willing to invest in SQLA 11 at the same time. Since there's no upgrade option anymore, they'd have to buy new licenses. So now there's a chance for them to only take one step at a time. ...and I would love to give you the bounty, but I promised it to Graeme Perrow; see comment here: http://sqlanywhere-forum.sap.com/questions/300/vendor-announcement-sql-anywhere-12-innsbruck-beta-supports-emails-via-gmail Comment Text Removed
No problem with me, I had my share of bounties when SQLA took off (and that's more "reputation" than I deserve :)). in our case Reimer, it not a lack of will to invest in an upgrade to SQLA 11, it's the difficulty (and downtime) in doing so. Funny thing is... we just downgraded a new server from Win2008 to Win2003 so we could move a 9.0.2 database to it. |
Question is how do we download that update? the links dont work. As in there not supporting it any more... 1
What is the exact symptom you are seeing? I just tested the links, they both work, and the EBF is downloading as I write this. For a bit more detail on how to download see http://sqla.stackexchange.com/links |
