When trying to find out what fixes a new v12.0.1 EBF will contain, I'm using the according "Info" button (of the according SP entry - here for SP90) in the SAP download portal:

Then a popup is displayed, and I'm choosing the link right behind the word "Hinweis":

For older EBFs, that will request the credentials again, will then display another page, and that will give access to the desired readme file (yes, that's a long way for former Sybase users...).

But for the new EBF 4278, the following is displayed:

As the download portal states that this EBF has been released last week, I'm uncertain why its contents is not displayed.

(I'd prefer to simply check on http://sqlasupport.sap.com/readme/sqla1201.html but that's still on 12.0.1.4224, so even older than the last three released EBFs for Windows...)

Volker: I think you caught the site while the new readme was in the process of being posted... so please check again today.

Hm, it's still "not released", does "posting" take that long?

Well, the Deutsche Post - the biggest German letter post and mailing company - is faced with labour strikes, but I'd thought that would not tangle SAP downloads:)

FWIW, the same happens today with the 12.0.1.4301 EBF - which was released on 2015-08-20, i.e. 5 days ago.

It is really nasty if I have to download the whole setup just to have a look at the readme files. But apparently I'll have to wait a few more minutes for the download to finish:(

I should be the one to apologize... the "Latest Update" page says "[links checked August 24, 2015]" but that's not the whole truth, I didn't dig down to the bottom of the link nest in every case.

Honestly, Breck, there is one thing you should have to take - not blame but a BIG THANKS for keeping us informed about the latest EBFs - particularly as it takes some time to find for out ourselves about those in the SAP dungle...

I don't think any user/customer should have to apologize for SAP needing several days to "process a readme note document":)

Thanks Volker for letting us know about the latest delay. I have released this latest Note also.

@Jeff, thanks for fixing that issue.

I hope Breck does not need to add a "Latest EBF delay" page:)

"dungle" sounds about right :)

Yes, Denglisch/Denglish has its uses, hasn't it?

Thanks, it's available now - still I'm really puzzled why posting a new SP seems to be such a time-consuming effort.

But still not as time-consuming as trying to download them :)
