I am getting the following error when I am trying to connect with a database with Interactive sql or sybase centeral.

No-charge evaluation period has expired. Obtain a no-charge Developer Edition registration key from www.sybase.com/download_sqlany_12_developer_edition_cd, or for purchase information, go to www.ianywhere.com/company/contact.html".

But this link is not working.Can someone point me to correct link please.

Well, the message says it all - your evaluation period for the software that you downloaded and installed has expired (you get 60 days I believe). You have a few options:

  • If you are using SQL Anywhere in production then you need to purchase a licensed copy.
  • If you are still developing your application then you can download a free Developer Edition copy and use it. (There is no expire date on the Developer Edition)
  • You could continue to use an Evaluation copy.

In all of the above cases you will need to uninstall the existing version of SQL Anywhere and install a new version. (If you want to continue to use the eval copy then reinstall the copy that you had previously install - I believe this will give you another 60 days to evaluated the software).
