We have interrupted a running SQL Monitor Environment due Backup recovery of one resource. The recovered Database was created before this resource was connected to the Monitor System. Under this Situation, you have a resource without monitor connectivity (missing monitor user object). The "repair" button in this situation is "grayed" out and you have no chance to repair this resource. Furtheron the only way to get rid of this resource is to select "another" resource, then restart the Monitor Server, reconnect to the Monitor Server and DON'T select the unavailable resource. Click on adminitrator, delete the resource. The resource will NOT disappear, until you restart the Monitor Server again. After a successfull remove of the resource, you can recreate it.

Are you able to Enabling the "repair" button.

Hi Bernhard, I think you are saying that a SQL Anywhere database with a resource in the SAMonitor needed to be recovered. You recovered the database for it and then the SAMonitor listed the resource status as unavailable. If the recovered database is missing the SAMonitor objects created in it when the resource is first added to the SAMonitor, it must be repaired. You need to stop the resource first, then the repair button becomes enabled.

The repair button is only enabled when the selected resource is not running and the resource type is SQL Anywhere.
