At least it doesn't take "overnight":)

It took several seconds to actually post that comment, as well - q.e.d.

IMHO, the forum seems rather slow w.r.t. to page navigation again, probably since yesterday...

Editing comments works instantly sometimes and does not seem to work at all in other moments - rather irritating...

Just to add:

When editing this comment above, after clicking the "comment" button nothing seems to happen: "edit mode" remained, and FF 33.1 showed its "still busy" cursor.

But apparently the modification was immediately stored: When I closed and re-opened the browser the changed comment was displayed. Puzzling:)

The sad part is that I have now more or less accepted the fact that every now and then this forum is not accessible because of the very extremely slow response time :(

It was actually several months after I joined the forum I actually was able to get an answer on a search...I just thought that field was just for show and not yet properly implemented :/

Well, searching is really fast IMHO (and shows very reasonable results) - that facility has greatly improved in the summer - cf. that FAQ...

Well today I am experiencing slow response times, add post in a previous thread took a long time, try to navigate from one question to another...well I just have to see it as patience training :)
