For those poor folks like me who won't be able to attend the upcoming SQL Anywhere Technical Summit event:

Are there plans to make some of the information (or reports of "what has happened") available as webcasts or whatever?

Aside: My personal "dream" would be to have something like Ivan Anywhere available during this event - dreaming, yes:)

...or are any blog articles about to come?

Unfortunately, we did not record the presentations, but we are planning to publish some of the slide decks from the summit, and much of the material will be stolen... er repurposed, for future demos and presentations.

Is this the part where I gloat and say "WISH YOU WERE HERE???" ;)

JK.

Actually the Summit has been a huge success. Very cool stuff being shown here at the event. Currently going over the new OnDemand edition of SQL Anywhere.

I am gloating too!

We met, had lunch with, and chatted with, probably every one of the senior engineers whose names I recognize from a number of years experience using SQLA. Many of them sat in the back of the room during the 2 days and commented that they had learned things about our needs.

One developer from the UK brought a database with a performance problem. A senior engineer sat down with him and figured out how to improve SQLA.

We saw some details of ways SAP is bringing some positive benefits to SQLA; one of which is a cool new error/problem tracking method that is starting to make its way into SQLA 16.

Wish you had been here!

And lets hope this will become an annual event. FAR more effective than TechEd in Las Vegas.

Thanks to all the SQLA staff who put a lot of effort into making this a valuable time for us.
